I'm going for the record for trite expressions in a three sentence post.

I haven't seen any competition even close to your accomplishment. Congratulations! <bg>

"a girl all wrapped up in herself makes a pretty small package"

one of my favorite trite expressions

another:
"people in Hell want ice water..."

can be followed by "that doesn't mean they get it..."

I use this one often in toy stores

Just like pulling teeth.

Getting agreement on controversial issues or finding some common ground between people with opposing viewpoints often is.

Just to be clear I think the fact that humans effect the climate is pretty much a settled question. What I was saying is not a settled question was that global warming caused by CO2 released in to the atmosphere by human activity is and has been happening. On that specifically I disagree with your statement "Only if you're waiting for every last speck of dust to land. Otherwise, this one is a done deal." Overall the evidence points that way but the evidence is still somewhat flimsy some of the data seem to contradict conclusions that would be reached from other parts of the data (satellite temperature readings not matching terrestrial readings for example).
