Dear me my friend, the picture at which I look is much larger than a mere budget, and you must work harder to try and see it. What you aim to establish in America is something of a monarchy wherein a president can boldly and literally perjure himself to save his skin. That is by far a more dangerous matter than failing to balance a budget. And I gotta tell you. In a society where folks roundly ignore their highest leaders’ moral failings so long as he balances a friggin’ budget, we ought not be much concerned when boys openly use women and think themselves not abominable as long as they get passing grades. Your picture only looks big because you are too close to it. Merely because the dime you hold near your eye covers the sun, is no reason to convince yourself the sun is smaller than a dime. I think your ideas here are terribly narrow-minded, wonderfully myopic— and that they have no relevance to the true “big picture” at all.
