Michael, The Balanced Budget Amendment was a smokescreen for the worst violators. Reagan supported the Amendment- what a joke. The budget got balanced under Clinton. He pushed the 1993 bill, and stopped the Gingrich income tax cuts. Give credit where it is due. Scumbria

Michael re: "Clinton will be remembered as a laughing-stock President," Afraid you're wrong here big fella....the man finished with the highest approval rating of any president in history including St. Reagan, Bush Sr. , and Eisenhower. Also, since you've mentioned it several times, would you please tell us how capital gains tax reductions balance a budget? And on the issue of constitutional amendments, how many amendments did the "Republic" party try to pass in the last few years? I thought the constitution was sacred to conservatives....
