Okay, I didn't remember the timeframe exactly then. But both Cyrix chips made Intel re-work a lot of their long term plans. And then Barrett took over from Grove in 1998, and that was another big turning point for Intel...

Scumbria, I think Grove stepping down had an equally bad effect. And, of course, AMD has been killing them for almost 2 years now.
