What's this I hear about another BC strike?
>Employees of the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority started picketing operations across the province of Alberta yesterday in a wildcat strike over different rates of pay for different unions. Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers protested what they describe as union-busting on the part of BC Hydro. The utility, which supplies 99 percent of the province's power and is a major exporter of electricity to California, has sought an injunction from provincial labor authorities to stop the unexpected action, a spokesman said.
