Two thoughts came to mind:

1) Given a choice, the Chinese would much prefer to collaborate with the Koreans than with the Japanese. Historical lessons will play a role here. Thus, DoCoMo's ploy to buy into China's wireless market sounds pretty dubious to me.

2) With Korean companies deeply involved in China's deployment of CDMA technology, there would be less propensity for China to use this as a political tool for better bargaining leverage. We should expect more progress in substance rather than words.

JMHO,
Ibexx

CR - The KYO Tesoro to go on sale 29th May 01. 64Kbps with USB to notebook.

Let the games begin in Japan. We're on the grid and engines revving.

Q may in the next few weeks begin the visual fulfillment of all our dreams and I don't mean only the stock price but the justifcation of a great American company and technology.

Exciting times

Best regards,

L
