Hays is comparing this bull to the one started in the spring of 1980. Kind of a prelude to a new secular bull to begin in late 2002 or 2003 after another bad year in 2002.

You keep saying "either in August or October", rather than something like "in the August through October timeframe". I'm curious about why you always seem so clear that the "bull" won't start in September. What is it about that month that makes the turnips apparently avoid it so? Or am I misreading your what you are writing?
