There is absolutely no reason we can not rally for 2 1/2 more weeks. Let everone load up on calls. Drive prices higher and higher. More and more calls and more and more speculation. Then we crash into options expiry instead of rally into it. A nice 1 1/2 month decline that nearly everyone will be 100% sure that it is THE bottom.

I am quite open to this possibility.

could be that it's a progression like that. i'm not really confident about what to expect next week, so i'll play it by ear. i HAVE established a few pilot put positions over the past two days, and depending on what happens i will add to them in the course of next week.

one of the two dates, or maybe both, will imo in hindsight be regarded as significant...
