Jpn, RE: But I am absolutely certain that on Monday morning, the market will either go up, go down, or remain the same. :)

That reminds me of a game I used to play back in my old days on Wall St.

Back then, there was no night trading of the S&P Futures, no pre market trading.

Fifteen minutes before the market opened, though, a little known index DID start trading, a 20 stock Amex proxy for the Dow. Most guys in sales and trading knew nothing about this index. I would bet others that, 1 minute prior to the market opening, I could guess where the first trade of the S&P 500 Futures would be, plus or minus 10%.

After a month of winning a few bucks every morning from a lot of naive brokers, I finally broke down and let them in on the secret.
