In his last fight on 8-4-00 in Las Vegas, NV, he TKO'd tough veteran Frankie Swindell: Hasim dominated the fight with sharp combination punching, dnd Swindell could not continue after the 7th round (WON WBU TITLE)

ONE OF HIS BEST WINS - On 5-20-00 in Atlantic City, NJ, he TKO'd defending champion Corrie Sanders (36-1): it was a wild and exciting fight; both fighters were rocked in the 2nd round; Hasim was knocked down midway through the 3rd round, but as Sanders moved in for the finish, Hasim flattened him with a right hand; Hasim scored another knockdown in the 4th and hurt Sanders several times in the 7th; the referee stopped the fight at 1:50 of the 7th round; after six completed rounds, Hasim led 58-55 on all three scorecards.

WON STATE TITLE - in his last fight on 3-1-00 in Woodland, MD, he won a 10 round unanimous decision against veteran Marion Wilson: Wilson fought to survive, and Hasim shut him out on the scorecards

1999

On 11-6-99 in Atlantic City he was knocked out against Oleg Maskaev (17-2): it was a great fight; Hasim built an early lead and staggered Maskaev in the 6th round; but Maskaev rallied to score a knockdown in the 8th, and Hasim fell through the ropes, where he was counted out at 2:20 of the round

On 4-15-99 in Miami he knocked out Louisville, KY, veteran Arthur "Stormy" Weathers in the 1st round

On 3-12-99 in New York he TKO'd Michael Rush (17-3-1): Hasim won every round and opened a huge gash over Rush's left eye in the 5th; Rush went to one knee and the referee stopped the fight at 2:40 of the 5th round

1998

CONTROVERSIAL LOSS - on 12-19-98 in Miami he made his third USBA defense against fellow top-ten ranked contender David Tua (32-1): it was also an IBF world title eliminator; Hasim dominated the fight with his jab and built a lead, but Tua kept pressing and rallied in the 7th round; he controversially landed a left hook clearly after the bell that left Hasim dazed; the rules call for a five minute rest period, but one was not given; Hasim had not recovered at the start of the 10th, and the referee stopped the fight at 0:35 of the round, a TKO win for Tua
he had several tests previously, and came through with solid performances in every one

On 3-14-98 in Moscow he TKO'd Washington, DC, veteran Melvin Foster (21-6-1) in the 2nd round

On 1-31-98 in Atlantic City he had a good test against tough veteran Jesse Ferguson: Hasim controlled the fight with his jab and right hand; he cut Ferguson in the 4th round, knocked him down in the 8th, and won by near shutout scores of 119-108, 119-108, 118-109

1997

On 12-4-97 in Albany, NY, he flattened Missouri journeyman Tui Toia (14-11) in the 1st round

ONE OF HIS BEST WINS - on 11-1-97 in New York he fought fellow contender Obed Sullivan (28-1-1): Hasim outhustled Sullivan, built an early lead, and staggered him in the 6th round; Sullivan rallied in rounds 9 and 10, but Hasim won a clear 10 round decision, though one judge scored it even - 116-112, 116-112, 114-114

ANOTHER BEST WIN - on 7-15-97 in Rochester, NY, he fought tough southpaw Jeff Wooden (17-3): the early rounds saw some great action; Hasim knocked down Wooden in the 2nd round, but Wooden rallied in the 3rd; Hasim rallied and scored a standing-8 count in the 8th round, another one in the 9th, knocked down Wooden in the 9th, and the referee stopped the fight at 1:44 of the 9th round

1996

On 10-15-96 in Atlantic City he defeated former world champion Trevor Berbick: Hasim scored a knockdown in the 1st round, and won an impressive unanimous decision by scores of 99-89, 99-90, 97-91

On 3-26-96 in Rochester, NY, he won a unanimous decision against tough Ross Puritty (17-8-1), who went on to win the WBC International title; scored 97-92, 97-93, 98-92

He debuted on 12-3-94 at the age of 22 and won his first 28 fights
