Issued a not on JDSU and the communications components sector today

What's a not? Is this new twist in the ratings? Buy, Strong Buy, Hold, Sell, Strong Sell, Near term buy, yadda, yadda yaddda. and now NOT.

WR Hambrecht upgraded JDSU today from a Hold to a NOT. -- Not what? Not Buy, Not Sell????
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I needed that. Guess it was note not not.

As far as this inventory stuff goes. NT worked down to 6 weeks, others in the industry also working stuff off - great.
But my question is: How much did they need to slow down production in order to get the inventories down to 6 weeks? If you shut down every assembly line and factory etc. eventually you'd work them off. So what did it take in order to get the levels down to here? That's what I want to know. If it was business as usual and inventory got reduced, then GREAT! If it took a total stop of production of new stuff, then NOT so great.

Good weekend to all...
