Spirit, I'm glad you added the words "for awhile" to your comments about the value of buying dips.

Imbedded in my mind are the words of a purely technical analyst who only makes money selling his analysis, not stocks. He says the biggest dip won't appear until this summer....others are calling this potential summertime dip the "final annihilation"...so maybe it
is wise to trade, not hold, and buy judiciously, unless you are fully versed in the value of what you are buying and are comfortable with holding it long-term.

I could be wrong in posting the above viewpoint.....but at least no one would lose money by following that advice and by investing too soon.

Rather than making money, *not losing money* seems to be the right thing to do at the present time for cautious investors.

So perhaps it would be a good idea to stop broadcasting your choices of stocks which might not perform over the coming months. You can do whatever you want, but it's not ETHICAL (and I recall you have accused others of not being ethical from time to time)....to encourage other people to make uneducated decisions about stock buys by repeatedly saying certain stocks are "safe".

If there is one thing we have all learned....NO stock is "safe". After all, GE dropped from 60 to the high 30s in no time flat, when the institutions decided to dump it because of a high PE. (I like GE and own some)

If one of your favorites, WCOM or VZ, decides to acquire another telco of some sort, you know what's going to happen....your stock will go down on the news. So be careful.

This is my two cents after reading many of your posts on this thread and others.
