Hide what? :-)

I think it's pretty well understood that that area is used as a test base for highly secret aircraft, etc.
But UFOs? Depends on (a) whether they exist, and (b) whether the gov't has any. My skepticism takes over at this point: I don't think the gov't could keep the lid on for 50 years.

It has been said that computers, microprocessors, ICs, etc. are based on 'alien' technology. And yet there is a clear developmental trail stretching back many decades in the scientific and engineering literature. And that trail predates Roswell. It includes Einstein and the photo-electric effect in 1905, the Bohr atom in the 19-teens, quantum mechanics in the 1920s and 1930s. The development of the transistor in 1947 was a logical, inevitable extension of that. And the IC, microprocessor, etc., were logical extensions of those.
