I thought I would let fellow Clown-Free's know that I was rejected for a credit card today. I have 6 credit cards with NO balances on any of them and a PERFECT credit history.

In the past, I was given instant approval over the internet and two of my cards have interest rates below 10% (Providian at 7.9% and First USA at 9.9%).

I consider myself an above average candidate for credit since I am in my late 20's, have a relatively high income against my peers, low rent, and no debt. I have no car and no house, thus no auto loan or mortgage.

This is the first time I have been, in my 7 year history of using credit cards, rejected for credit.

Jay, you may remember, i mentioned already a few weeks ago that the HK peg will likely be attacked again, if only because it's so easy and cheap to do so (and virtually risk free to boot).

and i'm a strong believer in an eventual Yuan devaluation in view of the renewed currency weakness across SE Asia in the wake of the crumbling Yen. it WILL come, the only question imo is WHEN.
