(Paid $200 for the service, so might as well use it, huh?) Thought it might be interesting to keep a journal for a year or two. Afraid you are not going to see much of 'analytic techniques' from me. For I'm just a beginner and do not have much knowledge on T/A. I think predicting future stock movement is more of an "art" than "science". So my approach may look more like gut or feel trade (some serious T/A people will laugh at this, but that's ok with me) If you ask me what's the basis of my trade & prediction: 1. 60%, rely on Big wave or trend - Past 9 months we were on down trend, so whether long or short always trade with down side in mind and look for a pattern that works well under down trend. Did we reversed the trend? I am not sure at this point, we'll have to wait and see. 2. 20% trade within basic resistance lines. 3. 10% on psychology of the market. Naz/QQQ, the ratio has been somewhere between 43 to 48. Naturally, higher the ratio, bearish the Q traders feel. During the confident up trend we should see ratio in the 43-44s. (I respect other QQQ traders, they are pretty good at this game) 4. 10%, finally you can not ignore the economy, earnings report, and what Greenie has to say. During the down trend, I come to recognize a few pattern that consistently worked well for a few day holding. Hope to find a pattern that will work well during the uptrend. In nut shell, trade with "Trend and certain repeated patterns" Not sure right now, but as you have noted, if Q break through 51, I'll play with "up-trend mode" for a while. . Would be nice to see this develop into a full-blown QQQ traders forum, as long as you don't kick too many more out. <ggg> There are many good T/A thread on SI, so I don't wish this thread to be too crowded place. But if it does, that's ok too, I'll just appoint you as a thread mother.<G> I can always start a new thread. Ok, Ok, I will not kick out too many SI members.<gg> I just don't like people coming here to advertise their private web site or brag about their trade which they didn't post here real time. Would you share what factors are most important in your trading QQQ? TIA, Webby
