Is Bombardier a 'put under the mattress' stock?

I have been happy with the result of treating it as an 'under the mattress' stock! My split adjusted cost (held since 1992), is $1.49 per share, and I am not yet ready to change my strategy on BBD.B. I have however read or heard analysts recently, who do not think that this is the correct strategy going forward. Time will tell!

My holding it outside of an RSP turns out to be an advantage! Canadian capital gains tax when I do sell it, will be less than the full tax rate that would be due on withdrawal from an RSP or RIF. This last fact however, is probably due more to good luck than to good management.
