Your beef shouldn't be with the people who don't buy American. Any time anyone in America makes a purchase, an American job is supported somewhere even if the purchase is made from a foreign company using the Internet. Your beef should be with America's lousy government negotiators.

Having spent 25 years in sales to the public, to business and to government, I sold to people of highly varied cultures. Very early on in that process it was easy to see that Americans by nature are probably the weakest negotiators.

Americans need to improve their negotiating skills in this ever widening global economy. If there is anything new about the so-called "new economy," it's that it is virtually a global economy. Weak negotiators in a global economy lose out big-time.
