well I basically saw what was expected, i.e 1.4-1.6 higher performance than on an es40 /ev67 (667 MHz) FOR THAT PARTICULAR PROGRAM. (The higher speed-up applies to a smaller problem size that benefits from the 8MB L2 cache.

I/O performance should also be better because of the 66MHz PCI bus, but the test I ran was not I/O intensive.
