Kirk, you are closer to the scene of technology transformations than most of us.

Today Kemet reported earnings and the CEO made the following statement,

""Barring a recession, we expect fiscal 2002 revenue growth to be in excess of 10 percent over fiscal 2001 revenues with earnings of at least $3 per share," KEMET's chairman and CEO David E. Maguire reported in his formal guidance to analysts when the numbers were released."

Now this is not a whole lot different then the report from AVX Corp, and not at all different from the expected report of Vishay on Thursday. If these three major commodity players are expecting increases in business for the next few quarters, could the analysts be misreading the tea leaves?

Because their products are not industry specific (telecon vs computers vs routers) could new business be coming from an unexpected direction?

Just trying to know the unknowable.
