Good summary, Michael. I loved the fantasy of Bush talking down the market, so he could talk it up again and be a hero! LOL!

What has fascinated me since the election is the venom that the American left has spewed on the Court over a single decision, that was hardly the most wide-sweeping one of even their recent history. The new American left (post-1968) was virtually MADE by the USSC. They couldn't get their Marxist/Green world view over even in fixed elections like 2000. Like their abandonment of all pretense of patriotism and respect for the rule of law in their desperate defense of Clinton in 1999, their emotional abandonment of democracy in 2000 can not help but degrade their credibility further over the next 20 years. It just doesn't wash with a generation of kids that is growing up listening to Rush and laughing at their greedy, unionized teachers...
