why don't they destroy the inventory of 2.5 billion if it is truly worthless? why are they going to pay storage costs to store that which is worthless, unless they believe it is not worthless? if they believe it is not worthless, why do they take a big charge to declare it worthless. it seems like there could be a temptation to use it as no-cost goods going forward. what assurances does mgmt give that this will not happen? anything other than "take us at our word"? why should they be believed?
