rajaggs, Scottish justice system does not have a "proven" verdict but does have a "not proven" one Correct that "not proven" is the official terminology rather than the "unproven" I used. However a Google search reveals that "unproven" is fairly widely used in this context. With respect to my drunkeness reference, please note my "<g>", which implied that I was joking. I lived in Edinburgh for three years as a graduate student, so I speak with some degree of personal experience. <g> Peter
