The Andrew's Pitchfork is a way of framing the charts so you can have some idea where the markets are going in relation to its recent past..... the median lines both attract and repel price, they are not trendlines... in fact, by eye balling the charts, the major averages just arrived at a median line on Friday... this means we'll either sell off rather quickly or we may just hang around these levels for a day or two... if we hang around these levels for a day or two or less, then we'll see another big rally very soon.....

There's lots to say about these pitchforks.....

Check this out.....<g>

Chisy, here's a current fork pattern for the SP cash, there's also other stuff on that page relevant to the fork, but the page has a valid fork on it so I thought you might want to see it...<g> this page is someone else's work and was posted to me on another thread.....

Chisy, according to that fork, you can expect buying to come into the market at around 1205.54 in the SP cash, if we get down there today, the buy figure rises a little each day since we now have a rising fork..... we don't have to get down there and we could easily blow right through it and keep on moving lower, but the fork suggests that if we touch that price today we will rally... prices are attracted to that median line, and when prices finally touch that median line then prices are repelled rather rapidly..... therefore, if we do touch that price, a rapid recovery rally will occur.....IMHO If you have any questions about the fork and da cheif doesn't mind our posting on his thread, then ask away.....<g> otherwise, we could move this conversation to another thread, no problem.....
