Doesn't make me feel any better .... and as for DSL in this area, forget it! Here we are, the "most technologically advanced nation in the world", unable to deliver high-tech services, while high-tech industry is in a severe slump despite large unsatisfied demand out there for high-tech services ..... Go figure!!!

That's surprising. Have a friend in San Mateo, and has cable modem service, believe it's Roadrunner or @home.
