So, why do you think they haven't made any acquisitions in 4 months?

Clearly the last few months have been an incredible drop for Cisco, both in terms of share value and in terms of management confidence. You can hear it in the way Chambers speeches have progressed.

In the end, deals take weeks to close, and if you cannot nail down rough valuations over a few weeks, it is hard to close any deal. It takes time for internal valuations to cope with sharp external drops.

That's why I say price stability is a big deal for Cisco, and the market as a whole. It takes somes stability in valuation to make deals work.

This isn't the only problem by a long shot, of course.
