My screw up doesn't help. Maybe I should start over. The point I was trying to demonstrate was that by selling Jan '02 LEAPS calls now on certain stocks one could lock in 35% gains in a flat or up market between now and Jan '02 (9 months from now) and protect your capital against a drop of up to about 25%. I thought that was a pretty good, low maintenance position.

The confusion came about when I muddled the dates by mistyping '01 and '03 LEAPS instead of '02.

(Actually I was just trying to prove my credentials for posting on the Dummy Thread)
