Dear scum, What makes a good engineer. First is the ability to understand the science. The next is then to see the problem as it it and not how one wishes. I saw a statement made that the wind in North or South?? Dakota could supply 30% of the energy used in America.

I have no reason to doubt this claim. But I then ask what would it cost to build this generation capability.

Then what is needed to make this source reliable. What storage and how much. What are the expected outages by percent and by time. What many don't realize is that no wind is part of the problem but also too much wind that requires feathering may prove the far worst problem.

OK we work this all out. That's very nice but the fact that the cows have light to read at night does little to help those thousands of miles away who are blacked out. Oh so we transport the power. What is the cost of building and maintaining the transmission system and by the way we are losing 1/3 heating the wires and bleeding off electrons on the way.

So when I see any person ranting on and on about renewable resources and conservation in a country that has millions of new homes built every year as a justification for any political argument. I see an individual who has no ability as an Engineer. This person cannot comprehend the ebbs and flows of the reality of compromises that are inherent in any real solutions. This person is an ignorant propagandist self deluded of their own superior position and totally closed minded.

America has requirements of massive power concentrated in small geographic area. This can be assisted by a small percentage by renewable resources and smart use of what's available. The only nonpolluting way to create concentrated energy is with nuclear power. Because nuclear power can be located both remotely and closely to where it is needed it is the only rational engineering solution to the problem.

So scum, I don't know what pieces of paper you hold that deludes you into thinking you are an engineer, I see your thoughts as expressed by multiple wrong facts and your positions based upon absurd rational that leaves unanswered the 99% of the problem and present the 1% as divine solution as just indicators of another vacant liberal mind.

Dear scum, I expect you will not reply or reply with a one liner. Maybe with some links that show nothing. But you will not reply and argue in your own words as all facts you present will be wrong or just show the clear truth of my positions. In the hundreds of posts you have presented I see a deeper and deeper hole of stupidity being dug.

you all have a nice day now, hear.
