Thanks Tekboy, but when I did a stocktalk search there was no such thing and the Options for Newbies stopped being active sometime in March. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi PoetTrader,

tekboy was just doing a play on words. You had inquired as to whether there was an “Options for Dummies” thread, and tekboy was commenting on the redundancy of that phrase. To the best of my knowledge, there isn’t an “Options for Dummies” thread. I know – because I fall into this same category! :-)

PS: You had mentioned the “Options for Newbies” thread. While there hasn’t been much activity recently, this might still be a “working” thread. Maybe they’re just waiting for you to ask your questions! :-)

There is the distinct possibility that the people who posted on that thread ran out of money! :>)

Am I looking in the wrong place?

dunno, but if anyone wants to found a thread for recovering options traders, that might be good too...

--I admit that I am powerless over options - that my life has become unmanageable.

--I have come to believe that a power greater than myself can restore me to sanity.

--I have made a decision to turn my portfolio over to the care of Greenspan as I understand Him.

--I have made a searching and fearless moral inventory of myself, in conjunction with tax preparation.

--I have admitted to the IRS, to myself, and to my threadmates the exact nature of my wrongs.

--I am almost ready to have my broker remove the capability for all these defects of character to manifest themselves.

--I humbly ask my threadleader to remove my shortcomings.

--I have made a list of all companies who have harmed me, and am willing to consider never investing in them again.

--I have made requests for direct amends from those companies, except when to do so would require injury to them or others.

--I continue to take personal inventory and when I am wrong promptly admit it.

--I seek through posting and meditation to improve my conscious contact with threadleaders as I understand Them, praying only for knowledge of Their will for me and the power to carry that out.

--I have had a financial awakening as the result of these steps, and try to carry this message to options traders and to practice these principles in all my investments.
