Here's what I imagine will unfold:

1. Tyson fights Izon. Tyson wins.

2. Ruiz fights Holyfield. Ruiz wins. (This is the big ?)

3. Rahman fights Tyson. Tyson wins WBC, IBF, IBO belts

4. Tyson fights Ruiz. Tyson wins WBA belt.

5. Tyson becomes the Unified Heavyweight Champion of the world, reclaiming the title he lost in 1990 to Buster Douglas, and reclaiming the IBF and WBC titles he lost in 1996 to Evander Holyfield

Challengers to follow include Klitschko, Johnson, Whitaker, Tua.

***

Lewis will face Mercer, Maskaev, Grant, Moorer, or Nicholson, et al. on the way back up, especially if his rematch clause is negated by Tyson KOing Rahman.

Now that the little secret Lennox and I have been sharing is out, I don't have terribly high hopes for him to regain the belt, let alone to keep it if by chance he does.

LP.

I watched the fight again this morning with my 8 yr old. That eye was starting to become a problem for Rahman in the 5th round. He was pawing at it and it was beginning to cause him some distress. I give him major props for all he accomplished.

One punch KO power in a huge spot against all odds makes me a fan of Rahman for life. That was an historic fight we witnessed last night. Sadly, because of boxing's diminished status as a big time sport, Rahman's accomplishment will not receive the attention it deserves.

Hasim Rahman is the heavyweight champion of the world. That's a pretty big deal in my book.
