The recession was over when William the Bastard took office. It was a small one, due to the overwhelming momentum of the Reagan economy. Clinton's propaganda Nazi's were able to begin taking credit for it despite the fact that his own economic "program" was shoved up his ass by Bob Dole. His tax increase finally brought on the recession we are seeing today. If the Republicans can put at least part of the '93 heist in the ground, this one may also be mild, and Bush's people-using the new Clinton Method-will also take credit for the Reagan economy. They can then continue to push for sane tax policy until they achieve a good part of what's needed.

As for Reagan himself? Well, there's a big feminist void on the new dollar coin. The Reagan dollar will circulate for a hundred years (eventually beating the Lincoln Cent for longevity), and his economic vision will be remembered that way...
