<<let's see what he says in a couple weeks if i'm right about what's coming down the pipe for this week and next... HO HO HO... got poots? got gold?>>

Got both (more of the 2nd than the first)...but I think there's a pretty good chance they get smoked this week. Remember the mania? These aren't sane people your talking about.

That said, I'm staying flat with a slight downward bias and heavy inflation hedging (gold, refining stocks, natural gas royalty trusts). Earnings are coming out for the oil patch this week, that'll be a hoot for sure. XOM for example will probably post 1.40 for the quarter...when's the last time Sicko or SUNW posted that much in a year?

Nonetheless, it was a good call for Meehan. I asked him what would cause him to change his position and he said high energy prices. I think (know) we'll see 'em starting now and ramping up for the next two months more or less nonstop. Let's see if he gets the reverse call down in time to save his clients...

Status of TRIN figured heavily into his call. It seem others were calling "the bottom" even earlier.

But, then again as Bronson notes the TRIN watchers may have gotten this all wrong.

I myself am betting that Bronson's right.
