xx, both, Zeuspaul and whitepine, have offered their thinking to us. I have not detected a 'closed mind' anywhere. Basically Zeuspaul is saying deregulation has failed and whitepine says to let free enterprise take its course. Free enterprise does not automatically guarantee efficiency. Anyone doubting this needs to look no further than to the cyclic behavior of the oil and electronic chip business. Except that the ramifications of inefficiency in supplying energy affect us all. I would still like to know why NG costs twice as much in California, though. I don't have any solutions, but respect those two posters for struggling with the issue. Gottfried
