Ish,

Microsoft and AMD both reported earnings up in Q1. Unemployment still sits near historic lows. Intel is forecasting normal Q3 and Q4 growth.

There isn't anything vaguely resembling a recession.

The best way to control gasoline consumption is through the marketplace. When gas gets too expensive, the 95% of commuters who ride one to a car will reconsider their habits.
