Here is the fundamental difference in my thinking, right or wrong. I don't equate Cisco to just a router or box company, just as I don't equate Dell to being a box company. Cisco has superior management. They are more flexible and fast paced than any company their size. They are in the networking business, not the router business. However the networking industry morphs, so will Cisco. They've done it in the past and they'll do it again. Where do I think Cisco will be in 5 years? They are a $25B revenue company now. In 5 years, I believe they will be a $50B company. In addition, I think the US economy will pull out of its slump by mid 2002 (end of Cisco's FY 2002) and Cisco's FY 2003-2005 will be rock solid 30% growth. Many people here don't believe that, but I do based on my judgement of the bandwidth needs of the future. This tornado has a long way to go. It hasn't petered out yet, just because the telecom companies have hit a brick wall. Now bambs' 2010 is up for anyone's guess.
