CK,

If the debt was eliminated, the tax burden would be reduced by 20%. You could get a 20% tax cut if we paid off the debt.

Leaving $6 trillion debt for the next generation is unacceptable.

<<If the "lock box" and "pay-off-our-children's-debt" madness >>

Lock box around Senator "Teddy" Kennedy. Right. They can't even lock up the booze.

The debt. I understand it's non callable and can only be paid as fast as it matures. God help the world's economy if the safe harbor of the US Bond is lost as a safe haven.

Borrowing money is what all smart companies do to promote growth.

Now this garbage about Clinton reducing the debt? Hasn't happened. Less might have been borrowed during his term do to going to more shorter term bonds but the overall debt has gone up every year he has been in office.
