Ditch,

OT-Long time, no type!

Good hit on the blocks, I buy those in 10 to 30 ton versions
(The 'diamond' type, single and double sheaved units) pretty regularly. They're spendy, and put my back into great pain
every time I try to show off by lifting one off a pallet.
It seems there's only two outfits left in the USA making
them, so they charge what they want for 'em, and ship
a product that's got more slop in the bushings than the
ones we're replacing...We try to repair the one's we've
got most of time.
I'd be willing to wager that you're setting up to lift
a wind generator up to the top of a pole??? When I first
read your post about it I misread the unit's output as
15KW, and I thought you were in for a surprise if you
DID get it up a utility pole and the wind ever came at you.
Hope it works for you.

Weather here in Seattle's exurbs is as advertised under
'SPRING', i.e. Lots of everything except long periods
of moderate rain. Too dry, but less depressing.

This is getting too long, Thanks for the rigging link,
interesting stuff.
