Fully integrated with mySAP Marketplace and mySAP Workplace, SAP BW enables companies to maximize the return on their information investment by putting business intelligence to work. An AlphaServer ES40 system with four 833 MHz Alpha processors using 8MB of memory and L2 cache, running Tru64(TM) UNIX and Oracle 8i (release 8.1.6) database software delivered an average throughput of 25 million rows per hour for the load phase, more than 108 million rows per hour for the realignment step, and more than 46,000 query navigation steps per hour. The ES40 server was supported by a Compaq StorageWorks subsystem with 1.3 TB of disk space. Compaq's AlphaServer family continues to provide increased processing power to SAP users whose e-business environments require increasingly faster analysis of greater amounts of data. ``This announcement is further evidence of our ability, in concert with SAP, to handle the most demanding data analysis/data warehousing needs of organizations in e-business, telecommunications and financial services who are running CRM and high- intensity business intelligence applications,'' said Rick Frazier, Vice President of Marketing for Compaq's Business Critical Solutions Group. Compaq also holds the high-end SAP BW benchmark record. In December 2000, a 32-processor AlphaServer GS 320 system running Tru64 UNIX with 32GB of memory and connected to a StorageWorks subsystem with 1.3 TB of disk space established new standards in the load phase (114 million rows/hour), the realignment phase (313 million rows/hour) and in the query phase (207,323 query navigation steps/hour). Compaq has been an SAP technology partner since 1993 and is one of the leading SAP server and storage vendors with more than 10,000 installations throughout the world.
