I never talk to the markets because I can hear better when I remain silent. I
have learned to listen to the markets. Can you hear what the markets are
saying?

Bad news on earnings is now ignored by the markets. Bad news on the
economy is also ignored by the markets. Cautious investors are embracing
balanced mutual funds, money market funds and value investing. Cautious
investors also reject momentum investing and return to stocks with earnings
and dividends.

Economy-sensitive stocks that should be collapsing are strong. Look at the
recent performance of Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd., Magna International Inc. and
Dofasco Inc. These are all signs of a market bottom and not a market top.

If we are in the early stages of a new bull stock market, we need to change
our strategy from cautious to aggressive. We need caution at tops and
aggression at bottoms.

Bear rallies are always sharp. Time to start shorting again. This market has no business going up.
