Use it or lose it. Today it makes a difference. In enough years, the economic growth it facilitates will fund the research that will lead to REAL alternative energy sources that cost less and don't allow for complaints, real or imagined.

We already made the mistake of burning cats about nuclear power. It's never too early to wise up...
