Rejecting The Cruel & The Ugly...

>>>>Now let's zip over to God and examine Solon's premise behind this thread....>>>>

>>Frederick: in the busyness of our mix of the serious with the silly...I sometimes forget to thank you for your decency and the non-injurious nature of your contributions here. I believe your belief system has a lot of holes; yet there is no meanness or exclusivity in your thoughts.

Furthermore, you reject the cruel and the ugly. That is a HUGE contribution to the world, and I thank you for it...>>

Solon:

It's in this same spirit that I made my recent comments regarding "A Hitler." They were not directed personally at you. They were directed against the notion that God is in any way, shape or form mixed up or associated with evil.

And I recognize that this thread's premise is based on man's errors with regard to creating and supporting in doctrine and dogma "a God" that punishes, judges and is to be feared, etc.

I think everyone visiting this thread is filled with the knowledge of the divine truth. Whether this understanding fuses with one's will is a matter which only God, our creator, His Son and His many serving angels can figure out.

I believe the spiritual world is - at the direction and divine providence of God - first and formost, where the reality of love, light and truth emmanates from. I don't believe in the illusion that this is somehow all mysterious, "out there" and strange. I believe we are spirits first and last. The body is simply secondary.

Emanual Swedenborg's works provide incredible testimony and ducumentary for these truths. It's interesting how the Bahai's have taken some of this universal model approach which seem to complement Swedenborg to fill out the administrative details of the church.

I'm not a believer in traditional religions as crafted by mankind. I take the Word seriously. It's wonderful poetry, full of spirit, song, drama, testinony, lessons and truth about man's divine, spiritual history. The Word provides the spark, the context for us to knock, knock. God enterns into our minds, hearts and souls to do the rest. He is in control. He is in charge. Allowing this "GO" to flow gives man the greatest sense of energy and joy. Service ad love of others becomes THE driving purpose for LIFE!!

Why?

Because we are being used to fullfill His will. And this is THE highest calling in Life. And another great calling is when we reject "the cruel and the ugly" in this world. Not from selfish quid pro quo reasons, but from purely unselfish reasons which have the love of humanity in mind, the knowledge, feeling and power which can only come from God Himself.

And there is no death. We simply pass onto and into the spiritual realm where all is laid bare as to the truth behind our spiritual existence. What was hidden is simply laid bare. All is accounted for. Nothing more, nothing less. Very fair and just. And, depending on the quality and nature of our spiritual lives while here in this world, either the beauty or the dysfunctional ugliness is revealed for all to see. And we then enter into association with the states and spirits and qualities we are familiar with.

The greatest gift God gives us is the freedom to chose between life and death: either for or against His will. One choice can makes us exceedingly thankfull, joyfull and happy. The other makes us slaves to our fears, sins and lusts. One is true freedom. The other fools man into thinking we are free, when in fact we are slaves to the external EGO which demands authority and devotion against the will of God, etc.

Pretty deep stuff. It's combat that goes on daily inside every individual. We are personally powerless to overcome evil. Without God we are laid to waste on the rocks of our own sins and fears. With God, we become open, free and clear condiuts for the expression of His light, energy and Love for the betterment of others and the world in general.

I believe in the massive power of Divine Providence to radically reshape the world, ushering in great, sweeping, transcendent, positive changes. I believe the "Bad and The Ugly" is a coward which needs our continuous love and forgiveness which can only come from directly God.

Peace.

Light!
