Wrong again Scumbria, supply side economists had been predicting for years if we slowed, or zeroed, the growth of government the budget would balance in less than 5 years.

They were right, and so were the conservative Republican new House members elected in 94 who insisted on reaching that goal over the objections of Clinton's veto pen.

Do you deny the fact that Clinton's budgets were far more expensive than the congresses?

Do you deny the fact that he shut down the government in order to spend more than the congress wanted?

Do you deny that Clinton used the desire of the Republican congress to balance the budget as political fodder, in order to paint-a-picture they didn't care about the elderly, the children and so forth because they wanted to grow the government less than Clinton wanted to?

Reagan ended the cold war, and by unleashing the entrapaneurial spirit with lower tax rates, saved America from going down the British road of high taxes and economic despair.
