I agree 100%. Gary Johnson risked a lot this week when he made the rounds of the talk shows and gave a couple of speeches on the merits of legalization. He probably just talked himself out of the Republican party.

Yep, that was either an AWACS or a P-3 that spotted that plane for the Peruvian air force. You'd think we could do better.

I see how the US has changed its story. Last night they were saying there was no contact with the Peruvian air force plane after the missionaries' plane was pointed out to them. Now they're saying, "The US crew repeatedly expressed their concern that the nature of the aircraft had not been determined." and "Despite serious concerns raised by the US crew the shootdown was authorized by Peruvian authorities."

Yeah, suurrre. Reports last night indicated the plane was spotted with military aircraft, now they're saying it was a civilian craft under contract with the CIA.
