JGoren...Probably a very simple question by a new dumbling...Isn't the whole point of LEAPS to deal with the volatility in a safer way by knowing you have a lot more time to deal with what happens in the market? For instance, if I'm interested in JDSU and other fiberoptic stocks that have been pounded, if I look at in the money LEAPS or not that far out of the money LEAPS (to reduce strike price) in 02 or even 03 I have a lot longer time to deal with the craziness of the market but also alot more oppt'y to make money. Or am I just too dumb to get this. And why is it that options seem so mystifying. Thanks. PoetTrader.
