Having said that, even if it doesn't amount to much in the big picture, it is still fun to brag one processor is better than the other. ;)

When people talk about Tualatin, they should expect much more than a .13u shrink of Coppermine. Tualatin will bring much more to the table. Remember when everyone expected Coppermine to be no better than just a shrink of Katmai? Don't think Intel stood still with Tualatin. They didn't.

Cirrus If it ever comes out, AMD will price mobile Palomino significantly below Tulatin and AMD may get a few design wins.

With the P4 1.7 GHz at $352 maybe setting an example, I'm not sure if there is an Intel "price umbrella" for AMD to get under anymore.

So, it's Tualatin, as in Tualatin River (below). Wonder why Intel didn't codename anything as Rogue, Burnt or Crooked?
