Sun-Tzu, I know a whole lot more about what it takes to become a doctor than you know what it takes to win a medical malpractice case. Any hack can file a lawsuit. Only a really good lawyer with a really good case can win - although sometimes hacks get lucky. Insurance defense lawyers are very, very good and have a lot of resources.

I can't win a case unless an expert witness is willing to testify that the defendant breached the standard of care - and I can't win a case even then unless my expert witness has better credentials and is more credible that the professional expert witness that insurance defense lawyers hire. I don't use professional expert witnesses. They don't have credibility.

I don't even bother with cases where the doctor made a judgment call and it came out wrong. I call those "shit happens" cases. Medicine is an art, not a science.

The type of case I take is where the ordinary doctor proficient in that field, when looking at the record, would say that the defendant screwed up big time.

Brice and I have a very long history. He's a nasty little permabull who likes to taunt bears.

GFY! 200 years ago, your profession was using leeches and blood letting while my profession was writing the Constitution.
