Anyone else get the feeling that Microsoft is getting a little more chummy with AMD then they have been in the past?

``We're delighted that NEC Japan, along with ASCII NT and Microsoft, selected the 1.33GHz AMD Athlon processor in their latest product,'' said Kazuo Sakai, president, AMD Japan.

Could it be tha Microsoft knows that it could sell orders of magnitude more 64-bit OSs by partnering AMD and taking Slegehammer into the mainstream than by sticking with the Itanic ball-and-chain around their ankle?

Pravin.

Pravin,

I guess this is what Jerry has been talking about. I guess this is single processor server. My guess is that it uses 760 chipset.
