Wow - I hadn't thought about counting it that way. The implications of that are spooky. Would say the bear will probably run a lot longer and deeper than even I had thought. Maybe I'm trying to read too much into things, but I don't think this bear will be done with a simple two-year "ABC" down. I think this one has aftershocks for many years.

I guess it would all depend on how serious "C" was. I also don't think it's possible to construct a corrective up of that magnitude at these valuations, at this point in the business cycle, at this point on the calendar. Most time-of-year cycles point to buying Oct. 31st and selling March 31st, *especially* tech. These monthly tendencies are extremely strong. I struggled to believe in the January effect this year, but there it was in all its glory.

Hmmm... "A" or "1" down complete off the March 2000 top. Interesting thought indeed. Denial complete, hope beginnning? Recognition yet to come? I thought we were well into recognition at this point, but perhaps valuations say something else.
