A break above 2250 will certainly put a lot of bear scenarios in question and yes, a break of 2250 could lead to 3000. I think 3000 would be a hard nut to crack though should it get there. A break of 2250 would also bring in a lot of money from bulls and fuel additional short covering so there would be plenty of momentum to get to 2600.

Now, the one caveat...while a lot of the bear scenarios become invalidated on a break of 2250, the ones that do remain are the most bearish. Thus, the higher we move from here...if we are still in a bear market, then the lower we go later.
