I would ask SSB how many modes of 3G handset are necessary for the European market?

W-CDMA/GSM....the NTT roll-out is W-CDMA only.

I would also ask them to acknowledge that the Japanese will be rolling out commercial service next month.

GPRS was rolled-out by British Telecom last June....hasnt meant much yet.

<< I would ask SSB how many modes of 3G handset are necessary for the European market? As far as I know, there is only one mode there >>

Minimum GSM/WCDMA and ideally tri-mode GSM/GPRS/WCDMA.

Nokia is committed to rolling out initially with multi-mode GSM/WCDMA and as we recently heard are still committed to H2 2002.

<< acknowledge that the Japanese will be rolling out commercial service next month. >>

Why? They are talking about NOK and no NOK in DoCoMo early plans (NOK choice).

<< These guys are idiots. >>

Whoa! They are very pro QCOM ... don't you own some QCOM?
