GVTucker, plenty of manipulation going on in the cash-flow statement as well. A good analyst should be able to see through such smoke and mirrors. Indeed, many of the bears have been screaming about this for years, but they were overpowered by the Greenspan bubble.

The point of my post was really that ALL THINGS need to be considered. People say "cash flows" are king don't understand that balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement are all intertwined and paint the complete picture.

On a side note, 95% of the investing public and probably 99% of the CSCO thread has no idea how to read a balance sheet.

Even fewer could translate a balance sheet and income statement into a cash flow statement. Just random musings.
